I’m going to offer you a poem about taking some first steps in whatever activity is new:

See if you can . . . SHIMMER!

Shimmer

Spider web, Tenuous thread
Hung from weeded poles
Inside my head.
Strung out like a tight wire, in glistening array,
for some aerial flier.
Tuned by the wind into rainbow colors.
Tempting me at ground level
To accept the light dance
I’m already in
Within my mind’s eye.

…SHIMMER…
